Martin Lodge - In Memoriam

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season and are enjoying time with friends and family. In amongst the festivities, we'd like to take a moment to pay tribute to Martin Lodge who passed away last week. A previous CANZ president and pillar of the Aotearoa Community, Martin contributed immensely to the musical life of this country. He made an especially notable contribution in the Waikato where he was a professor of Composition at the University of Waikato.

Martin was given a terminal cancer diagnosis in 2022 and defied the odds by battling the disease for much longer than anyone expected. We are very sad to hear of Martin's passing, and thankful that Aotearoa's musical community was able to pay him tribute while he was still with us.
