Natalie Hunt is 2009 NYO Composer-in-Residence
Natalie Hunt has been named the 2009 NZSO National Youth Orchestra composer-in-residence. The award was granted to Natalie for her work Only to the Highest Mountain and will be performed by the NZSO National Youth Orchestra at the 50th Anniversary concerts in July.
Natalie, originally from Palmerston North and Hawke’s Bay, is currently studying for a Graduate Diploma at the New Zealand School of Music.

Becker and Shortis to represent NZ in Sweden
CANZ members Pepe Becker and Carol Shortis have had choral works selected for the 2009 World Music Days in Sweden. CANZ has representation at these annual events through the subscription fee we pay to ISCM, allowing us access to these high-profile international performances.
